Restraint & Isolation Reporting System for Student Services
Keywords: OSPI, Restraint, Isolation, Reporting Aliases: Due to OSPI requirements for parent notification, we have a system set up for documenting Restraint & Isolation cases and creating a parent letter that is OSPI compliant. As of April 1st, 2025, the previous Restraint & Isolation process was replaced with one that does not rely on the document studio google drive addon, and is capable of automatically submitting into Powerschool. The form can be found in the PSD portal in the 'Operational' folder. Alternatively, you can use the following link: Form: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1SkMBaVl1GmpIReiHkxx1ATRXIDKzewZ7aRB2Vvr5BbU/edit The automation runs every 15 minutes and process relevant rows and detecting any issues with the input data. If there are problems, it will email the submitter and the principals of their school with a notification of necessary corrections. It will need to be revised by the person who submitted the form by editing their response (they should have received an email with a link to do this). When everything is correct, the automation will generate a PDF and send a notification with a link to this to the submitter, principals, and a list of static recipients. When ready, specific users may check a box on the automation Google Sheet to submit it to Powerschool automatically. Questions about this process, outside of the technical components, should be directed to the Behavior Intervention Specialist (rushj@psd401.net at time of writing). Technical questions can be directed to the Data Integration Analyst (pratzm@psd401.net at time of writing).
