Python 3 is now available in Self Service for Python Coding classes/labs. To install and use in PyCharm, please follow the instructions below:
). Install Python 3 through Self Service. It can be found in the "Coding" tab, or you can search "Python" in the search bar:

). We also want to install PyCharm. PyCharm is also in the "Coding" tab, or you can search "PyCharm" in the search bar:

). Once both are installed from Self Service, open PyCharm.
). With PyCharm open, click "New Project".

). In this window, you can edit the name of the project and its location on your computer. You can also select the Python version, and this is the important part. It will default to having you try to install Python 3.12.0, but it already exists on your computer if you were able to successfully install Python from Self Service in step 1. To make this known, click the drop down arrow on the right side of the Python version, and select the option that says "detected in the system".

). With this option selected, go ahead and press "create". After a few seconds, your project will load and it is now ready to be worked in!
