Creating a Gmail Template

This guide goes over how to create and open templates in Gmail.


1. Open a new tab and open Gmail.


2. Before writing your template, you'll have to enable it in the settings. On the top right corner of the window, click the gear icon and "See all settings"



3. Click the Advanced tab, and then click enable for templates.


4. Click "Save Changes", if you don't do this the setting will not save and you won't be able to add your draft as a template later.


 5. The page will reload. Now that templates are enabled, click Compose to begin writing your template.


6. Type out your template into the email which you just created.


7. Once it's written, click the three dots on the bottom of the pop out window. Then go to "Templates" > "Save draft as template" > "Save as new template".


8. Name your template and click save.


9. If you want to use one of your templates in an email, click the three dots and go to "Templates". Then just select the template you would like to insert.
