As of late Summer, 2017, Schoology has added a really neat expansion of their assessment types. See the list of types of questions that now can be used below. And below that are basic steps and some help guides.

Here are the basic steps:

1. Add Materials
2. Add Assessments (turquoise puzzle piece) 

   

3. Name it, due date it, pt value it, categorize it, etc. hit Create
4. In the first tab called SETUP add the basics - descriptions, and settings.
5. In the second tab called QUESTIONS pick your types.
6. In the third tab called STUDENT ATTEMPTS you can see and allow attempts, etc.
